# VIII. New Life Rule

The **New Life Rule (NLR)** is a crucial aspect of roleplay that helps maintain immersion and realism after a character's death. Here are the key principles and guidelines:

#### **I. Core Principles**

1. **Character Death and Memory Loss:**
   * Upon your character's death, they do not remember any events leading up to that death. This includes interactions, conflicts, or any knowledge gained during that time.
2. **No Return to the Scene:**
   * Players are **not allowed** to return to the scene of their character's death for a minimum of **15 minutes**. This rule prevents players from exploiting their previous knowledge of the situation.
3. **Forfeiture of Loot:**
   * Any items or loot your character had at the time of death are considered **forfeited**. They are up for grabs by other players, promoting a dynamic and realistic environment.
4. **Roleplay Injuries:**
   * If your character is incapacitated but not dead, you must roleplay the injuries realistically. If you disconnect while incapacitated, you must still adhere to the NLR.
