# XIV. Group Conflicts & Wars

#### **I. Core Principles**

1. **Warranted Conflicts:**
   * Conflicts and wars between groups must have a **clear reason** or motivation. This could be over territory, resources, or ideological differences. Avoid initiating conflicts without a solid narrative basis.
2. **Clear Objectives:**
   * Each conflict should have a **defined goal**. Whether it’s to gain control of a territory, eliminate a rival group, or achieve a specific objective, clarity helps all participants understand the stakes.
3. **Respect for Roleplay:**
   * All participants should engage in the roleplay with respect for each other. This includes allowing for character development and ensuring that actions are consistent with the characters’ motivations and backgrounds.
4. **Communication:**
   * Open lines of communication are essential. Groups should discuss their intentions and strategies OOC (out of character) to ensure everyone is on the same page and to avoid misunderstandings.

#### **II. Guidelines for Engagement**

1. **Initiation of Conflict:**
   * Clearly announce the initiation of a conflict. This could be through a formal declaration or a significant event that leads to hostilities. For example, a raid or a public confrontation can serve as a catalyst.
2. **Time for Response:**
   * Allow the opposing group time to react to the conflict. This encourages engagement and can lead to more dynamic roleplay scenarios. For instance, if a group is attacked, they should have the opportunity to respond appropriately.
3. **Limitations on Violence:**
   * Avoid excessive violence or actions that could be considered **Fail RP**. For example, indiscriminate killing or destruction without context undermines the roleplay experience. Ensure that actions are proportionate to the situation.
4. **Roleplay Consequences:**
   * Be prepared for the consequences of actions taken during conflicts. This could include law enforcement involvement, retaliation from other groups, or loss of resources. Consequences add depth to the roleplay and encourage thoughtful decision-making.

#### **III. Enforcement and Reporting**

1. **Warnings:**
   * First-time offenders who violate these rules may receive a warning from moderators or admins regarding their behavior during conflicts.
2. **Temporary Bans:**
   * Repeated violations or severe instances of misconduct during group conflicts may result in temporary bans from the server.
3. **Permanent Bans:**
   * Persistent offenders who disrupt the roleplay experience through excessive or unreasonable actions may face permanent bans.
4. **Reporting Violations:**
   * If you witness violations of these rules, report them to the appropriate staff member or administrator. Provide clear evidence and context to support your report.

#### **IV. Promoting Fair Play**

* Encourage a collaborative and respectful environment. Engage with other players in a way that enhances the roleplay experience for everyone involved. The goal is to create believable and engaging scenarios that everyone can enjoy.

By adhering to these rules, players can foster a more immersive and enjoyable roleplaying experience during group conflicts and wars. If you have any further questions or need more details, feel free to ask! 😊

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://new-legion-rp-la.gitbook.io/newlegionrp/general-rp/xiv.-group-conflicts-and-wars.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
