# XVII. Exploits and Rule Violations

Exploiting game mechanics for personal advantage is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action, up to and including permanent bans. This includes, but is not limited to:

**Gameplay Manipulation:**

* **Account Manipulation:** Creating multiple accounts to circumvent game systems (e.g., transferring starter funds) is strictly forbidden.
* **Third-Party Software:** Using any unauthorized third-party software, including but not limited to mod menus or exploit programs, will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
* **Combat Logging:** Disconnecting from the game to avoid consequences (arrest, robbery, death) is considered game manipulation and will be penalized.
* **Transaction Violations:** Exploiting game mechanics to facilitate illegal transactions (e.g., selling drugs through walls, bypassing interaction animations) is unacceptable.
* **Environmental Exploitation:** Abusing emotes or other game functions to gain unauthorized access to areas is prohibited.

**Visual and Audio Modifications:**

* **Texture Packs:** While custom texture packs are generally permitted, those that significantly alter gameplay (e.g., enhancing visibility beyond realistic limits, removing collisions, creating unrealistic daytime effects) are not allowed. Daytime-only packs are prohibited.
* **Visual Effects:** Unrealistic visual modifications, such as excessive or unrealistic blood effects or custom kill effects (beyond the game's default effects), are forbidden.
* **Audio Modifications:** Sound packs that provide an unfair advantage, such as those that amplify footsteps to an unrealistic degree, are prohibited.
