# III. EMS Roleplay

These guidelines define the expected conduct for both Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and civilians within the city during EMS-related scenarios. All interactions must be preceded by appropriate roleplay. Any violations of these rules should be reported via the established channels (e.g., whitelist job report, player report ticket).

**Disclaimer:** All interactions between EMTs and civilians must be preceded by meaningful roleplay.

**I. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Conduct**

**A. Permitted Actions:**

* **Communication with PD:** EMTs are required to communicate with the Police Department (PD) when encountering individuals with visible high-powered weapons or other signs of criminal activity. They are also required to report any criminal activity occurring within the hospital.
* **Scene Prioritization:** EMTs may prioritize the treatment and transport of law enforcement officers (LEOs) at active crime scenes.
* **On-Scene Revivals (Limited):** EMTs may perform on-scene revivals for non-violent injuries, such as those resulting from dehydration, starvation, or vehicle accidents.
* **Blacklisting:** EMTs may blacklist gangs or individuals who threaten their safety or engage in violence against them.

**B. Prohibited Actions:**

* **Active Combat Zones:** EMTs are prohibited from entering active combat zones (e.g., ongoing gang wars). They must evacuate the scene immediately if active shooting occurs and await clearance from PD before returning.
* **Stretcher Misuse:** EMTs are prohibited from driving vehicles while holding a stretcher.
* **On-Scene Revivals (Severe Injuries):** EMTs are prohibited from performing on-scene revivals for victims of gunshot wounds or other violent crimes.

**II. Civilian and Criminal Conduct**

**A. Permitted Actions:**

* **Scene Management:** Civilians and criminals may request that EMS leave a crime scene, such as a cop shootout, and not pick up bodies.
* **Threats (Limited):** Civilians and criminals may threaten EMS to revive someone with non-severe injuries.

**B. Prohibited Actions:**

* **Violence Against EMS (Blacklist):** Civilians and criminals are prohibited from shooting at or harming EMS personnel for refusing to pick up bodies due to a blacklist.
* **Violence Against EMS (Severe Injuries):** Civilians and criminals are prohibited from shooting at or harming EMS personnel for refusing to revive someone on the scene due to severe injuries.

**III. Amendments:**

* These rules are subject to change.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://new-legion-rp-la.gitbook.io/newlegionrp/government-rp/iii.-ems-roleplay.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
